The fight
Hua Qianxiao is the drunken swordsman of S-GAME's trailer for The Game Awards 2025, named and fought in the October 2026 preview build. He greets Soul already full of wine, calling for the death of "all those righteous fools", then only half remembers his own past: he once led a sect of the Mandate, and he has lost count of the years since he left it.
He knows Soul as the man who broke his blade, and still claims the victory: "But you lost that battle!" The duel takes place on a long wooden walkway above a field of red flowers.
Drink is the whole idea of the fight. S-GAME's combat director explains that he "will continually drink to build up a certain kind of energy", and the more he drinks, the wilder he moves, until his blade arrives from angles Soul cannot predict.
Beating him gives Soul his "Drunken Sword", The Fanatic's Broken Blade, which lets Soul drink, dodge at the last moment and counter while staggering as if tipsy. After the fight Soul rests at a bell called Pangzhen Bridge Overlook.
What it says
- “Delicious... delicious wine! Ahahaha! Kill all those righteous fools!”
- “Heh... seems... I was a Mandate sect leader too... wasn't I?”
- “No, no, no...! how many years has it been since I left the Mandate...?”
- “Three...? Five years?”
- “Ah. It's you! You again!?”
- “So it was you... who broke my blade?”
- “But you lost that battle! Hahaha! You lost! Ahahaha!”
- “Swallow... the seas... cleave... the heavens!”
- “Only... the wine in my cup... truly understands...”
- “I drink the toast... you drink... the punishment!”
- “Drink... come! Drink with... me!”
