Iron Gauntlets are a Martial Skill Phantom Edge: heavy, spiked iron fists with "a 3-stage close-range combo" that costs 1 Remnant Spark when it runs in full. They break shields well, the kind of weapon S-GAME says heavy shields call for.
Every hit builds Fist Intent, and a full Fist Intent makes all of Soul's main weapons hit harder for a while, so the gauntlets set up the main weapon rather than replace it.
